JUAN RAN THE NYC MARATHON TO BENEFIT NOTES FOR GROWTH
On Sunday, November 3, 2019 Juan ran the TCS NYC Marathon to benefit the Notes for Growth’s piano donation project.
This was Juan’s 10th NYC Marathon, so this year he made it extra special: Juan ran the 26.2 miles across the five boroughs to benefit children through access to music education.
Juan’s goal was to raise $2,600 to enable Notes for Growth to deliver about 8 pianos to deserving institutions that teach music to kids in underserved communities in New York and New Jersey.
With your generous support, Juan exceeded his goal by raising over $3,500!!!
Notes for Growth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the long-lasting, positive impact of music education among children in underserved communities in the US and South America. We collect underutilized, donated pianos and deliver them to deserving institutions that teach music for free to girls and boys. Past beneficiaries include the Newark School of The Arts in New Jersey.
Right now we are shipping our first container with 11 donated pianos to Chile, where they will be placed in deserving institutions throughout the country.
