DONATE A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

Of all the things I’ve ever given away, this was the hardest. Please enjoy your moments together, get lost in what you can create. Know that our family is so happy you have provided a loving home.

Your donation will help give hundreds of children access to music education and further their studies.

Dear Potential Donors,

First and foremost, thank you for considering giving the gift of music education to children in need!

It is important that all potential donors read our Donation Guidelines below before submitting.

In general, we can only accept instruments in very good condition. Sometimes high-value instruments can be restored at a low cost, which we have gladly facilitated in the past.

Instruments that are very old and have not seen proper storage and maintenance, however, usually cannot be accepted. If you are unsure about the condition of your instrument, don’t hesitate to fill out the forms below regardless.

Thank you, and we look forward to growing together with you, one note at a time!

Donation Guidelines

We appreciate your generosity and interest in donating your musical instrument to Notes for Growth.

While we would like to accept every instrument, we are limited to accepting those that do not require substantial repairs and are easily accessible. Unfortunately, we cannot usually arrange for quick pick-ups.

We are currently receiving donations in New York and New Jersey that are:

  • in very good condition

  • have not had a player mechanism installed

  • located on the first floor of the dwelling or in buildings with an elevator

  • have not been stored in a garage or non-climate controlled space

  • Pianos should have been tuned within the last five years (exceptions may be made for newer or high-quality instruments)

Please Note:

A member of our team will review your submission right away. If your piano will be considered for donation, you will be contacted within 72 hours.

If you do not hear back from us within 72 hours, we thank you for your interest in Notes for Growth and request that you make alternate arrangements for your instrument.

We regret that we cannot individually follow up with each potential donor.

Thank you!
